Day1 - Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips

Helloo
Remember me? Ive been MIA for the last couple of weeks, really sorry!
Ive had a lot of lifey problems to deal with which i wont go into, but its left me feeling rather drained. Been a stressful couple of weeks, well months if im honest, but im a 'head in the sand' kinda girl and try to ignore everything... But naturally the world throws a spanner in the works, stops you in your tracks & everything youve pushed to one side catches up. Then the upset and feelings you should have already dealt with, hit you all at once... so its been rough, ive been pretty upset and tired and not had any get up and go to do anything.
But i dont want to ignore my blog, and im sad ive been neglecting it recently as its something i really really enjoy. So, im going to try reeaally hard to keep on top of my blog, ive got a little MonkeySocks planner on its way to help keep it organised, and then maybe this little online space can be my escape.
So on that note i thought today would be good day to start the 10 day 3D White Professional Effects Whitening Treatment by Crest.
Ive wanted to try these for a while, but just havent made time to do it, and im not to fussed about forking out hundreds to get them done professionally. Ive never had white teeth, dont get me wrong theyre not brown and falling out, but i certainly dont have a 'hollywood smile'.  I do look after them... i brush, floss ect... but i drink WAY to much Tea and Coca Cola. I know i know its not good, and thats why they are not as white as they could be, but im cutting down and so id like to see if i can whiten them a little bit. I dont want them to be really bright white, wouldnt like to think people will need sunglasses on when having a conversation with me, but maybe a few shades whiter so theyre nice and natural and give me a more healthy pretty smile.
Ill probably post every couple of days to show any difference it makes, as every day would be pretty boring to read i think.
These are the strips im using...
Crest 3D White Proffesional Whitestrips

I got them HERE on ebay for £19.99, as i think theyre are only sold in stores in america.
Im doing the 10 day course. I have 10 packets which is 20 strips (ten upper and ten lower) and you use a packet a day. You put the strips on and leave them for two hours.
I used my first set today, and it felt soooo weird! They are really thin strips with a layer of gel on one side, you peel them off the backing and press them onto your teeth and then fold them under. They are easy to put on, are not uncomfortable in the slightest and they do stick and stay put pretty well. After a little while you can see the gel foaming and getting around your teeth, which makes you gfeel like its working but it looks awful! There isnt really any taste to these, just a slight odd sticky taste that isnt unpleasant or anything you couldnt put up with. It feels like you have wrapped all your teeth in cling film so its strange talking at first, but then you just get used to it. Would probably be better to use in an evening when watching TV and just mooching about and not having to talk much. That way you can take them off after the two hours, brush your teeth and get in bed and wont be eating or drinking straight after using. It does say you may experience some sensitivity but that it wont last, i havent noticed any sensitivity yet but ive only used them the once so far so will see how i get on.
If you dont like teeth look away now, i hate teeth so to me this this is rather gross!! But thought id see if i could get a picture with the strips on as they foamed up...  but hey if your considering these you may as well see what your letting yourselves in for ;)
also you will have to 'scuse the cruddy iphone photos

This morning before any sort of whitening

  2. Hi yeah ive been wanting to try these for a while too, so thought id finally do it and see if they are as good as a lot of people say... Done my second little packet today, not noticed much if any difference in colour, and not had any massive discomfort, however they were a bit sensitive about an hour after id taken them off so any deep breaths of cold air i really felt. So if your suffering already it may not be a brilliant idea to use the professional effects ones, but they do have a mild one for sensitive teeth i think :)
